Haozhe Chen
Professor Haozhe Chen is a professor of supply chain management in the Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business at the Iowa State University. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma and M.B.A. from the University of Alabama. His research focuses on supply chain integration/collaboration, third-party logistics (3PL), reverse logistics, international logistics, and China-related supply chain and logistics topics. He has published over forty articles in top supply chain management and logistics journals. He coauthored a book titled “The Definitive Guide to Integrated Supply Chain Management: Optimize the Interaction between Supply Chain Processes, Tools, and Technologies” (Financial Times Press, 2013) and two book chapters – one on reverse logistics in The Oxford Handbook of Supply Chain Management (Oxford University Press, 2020) and one on secondary markets in Circular Economy Supply Chains - From Chains to Systems (Emerald Publishing, 2021). He is a Senior Editor and a Senior Associate Editor for two top supply chain management and logistics journals.
Professor Chen is very involved with various international industry organizations. He was a member of Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals’ (CSCMP) Academic Strategies Committee and the Chair of CSCMP’s 2019 and 2020 Bowersox Doctoral Symposium. He is also a member of Board of Advisors of Reverse Logistics and Sustainability Council (RLSC) and an active member of Reverse Logistics Council (RLA). He has served on the voting panel for the Gartner Top 25 Supply Chain ranking for 9 years. He is also actively engaged with the Sino- American Logistics Council (SALC)’s academic affairs.

Helen Cousineau
Helen Cousineau is a Deloitte Tax LLP Managing Director and member of the Global Trade Advisory (GTA) practice. Helen serves multinational clients globally and leads GTA’s import service offerings in the US, including matters involving the link between transfer pricing and related-party Customs valuation, as well as global tariff management strategies. Helen also serves as the Global Indirect Tax Quality and Risk Leader.
Helen has over 31 years of experience in international trade. She has been recognized by the International Tax Review as one of the world’s Leading Indirect
Tax Advisors from 2013 to 2022, and Women in Tax Leaders from 2018 to 2022.
Helen advises clients in all industries on global import and export structuring and compliance issues, and helps them manage trade regulatory requirements in the most cost-effective manner. She also assists clients with the design and implementation of strategies and internal controls that manage risk, customs duty
payments, and international trade costs while obtaining duty recoveries and process efficiencies, including special trade programs, drawback, first sale for export, foreign trade zones, and bonded warehousing. Helen also regularly presents on the topics of import and export compliance, planning, and management in the United States and abroad.
Helen joined Deloitte Tax in early 2002 from Arthur Andersen LLP, where she was also involved in advising clients on a variety of matters involving global import and export issues. Prior to joining Andersen, she practiced law in Washington D.C. and New York, focusing on legal matters involving customs and international trade law, international transportation law, and suretyship law. Also, prior to attending law school, Helen worked for several years in a variety of advisory and operational positions in international trade in industry.

Gregory Tuthill
As the Chief Commercial Officer of SeaCube Container Leasing Ltd, Gregory Tuthill is the head of SeaCube’s global sales, marketing and trading teams and brings over 30 years of industry experience to this position. He is responsible for the development and implementation of evolving business strategies designed to enhance SeaCube’s vision of being the customer’s first choice for refrigerated intermodal equipment while also driving company growth.
Prior to joining SeaCube, Mr. Tuthill served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for CMA CGM, where he was responsible for the management of all liner operating activities for the Americas. In 1988, he began his career with American President Lines, Ltd, where he held several positions in marketing and sales. After leaving APL, he continued to expand the depth and breadth of his responsibilities at NYK Line. He held several executive positions during his 16 years in the areas of Operations, Trade Management, Pricing, Sales, and Marketing and later at TOTE Logistics.
Mr. Tuthill received a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the State University Maritime College at Fort Schuyler, NY. He also obtained a master’s degree in Financial Economics from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and holds a certificate in Financial Analysis from New York University.
Mr. Tuthill served as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Naval Reserve as a Lieutenant Commander for over eight years and holds a US Coast Guard Third Mates License.

Mr. Pontiac P. Li is the founder and General Manager of Shanghai Join Industrial Co., Ltd., which involves in the business of consulting, trading, and investment. His company has partners throughout China and in Japan and Taiwan, and has developed sophisticated domestic and international logistics networks to provide high-quality distribution services.
Previously, Mr. Pontiac P. Li had worked with Chrysler JV in China and Ford Asia in China as an engineer and a senior manager in various functions such as
Purchase\Quality\Manufacturing\LVT for more than 10 years. He helped establish the Ford JV supply base and the logistic network in China. In addition, Pontiac was actively involved in Ford’s strategy development in China and helped launch 4 new car models and 2 series of power-train in Chin, which reached annual sales of 300k cars.
Mr. Pontiac P. Li also worked in the agricultural machinery and construction machinery industries as a senior purchasing and logistic director for New Holland and Doosan Asia respectively. He helped establish the global sourcing network and achieved annual saving of more US$30 million.
Mr. Pontiac P. Li also worked with Rongsheng Heavy Machinery (a Chinese
Company) as the General Manager when the company was listed in Hongkong Stock Exchange for the HK$ 12 billon-IPO financing. Pontiac also worked with Steyr China as the COO when the company was relisted at China’s Shenzhen Stock Exchange for more than RMB3.5 billion.

Kurt Tjaden
Kurt Tjaden is the former President of HNI International and Senior Vice President of HNI Corporation, one of the largest office furniture manufacturers in the world. In this role, Kurt led all international office furniture business for markets outside United States/Canada which includes three operating companies, over 1,000 employees, two manufacturing facilities and sales/distribution operations in over 10 countries. Kurt was responsible for driving aggressive profitable growth, providing financial direction and strategic leadership.
Kurt joined HNI Corporation in 2008, as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and was named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2016. Prior to joining HNI, Kurt spent significant time working in Asia for Whirlpool, Gateway, and Procter & Gamble.
Kurt has a Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University and a Bachelors of Business Administration from Iowa State University.
Kurt serves on the ISU Foundation Board of Governors and Ivy College of Business, Dean’s Advisory Council and previously served on the Iowa State University Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Executive Director, Sino-American Logistics Council
Chung Tam
Mr. Chung Tam is the President of Global Supply Chain Classroom and Executive Director of Sino-American Logistics Council where he oversees the consulting, education, training and certification programs. He is recognized by both Chinese and U.S. governments as an expert in the logistics and transportation field and has played a leading role in promoting U.S.-China cooperation. His initiatives include establishing the Sino-American Logistics Conferences, the Yangtze-Mississippi Dialogue, promoting hazardous goods transportation standards and cold chain logistics in China.
Mr. Tam has consulted the U.S. Department of Transportation for the US-China Transportation Forum, a high-level dialogue between the two countries’ transport policy makers. He has advised the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and Department of Homeland Security on China related matters. He is also a member of the United Nations Global Partnership for Sustainable Transport expert group.
Mr. Tam is recognized as a foreign expert by the Development Research Center of the State Council P.R. China contributing to the “Proposal for Promoting the Reform and Innovation of China’s Logistics System Mechanism”, “Basic Ideas for Accelerating the Development of China’s Logistics Innovation” and the Asia Development Bank study on “China’s Agricultural Logistics Study”. He recently co-authored “Improving the Efficiency of the Logistics Industry from a policy perspective – Experience from the US and the EU” and the “American Multimodal Transport Development Study” for the Ministry of Transport China, “Strategic Research on Building Wuhan National Logistics Center” report for Wuhan government and Hubei Province. He produced a report on “The construction of the logistics and supply chain hub of the Greater Bay Area in Baoan District” for the State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs and the Shenzhen Baoan District government.
