Drake University – Inaugural U.S. China Symposium

The inaugural U.S.-China Symposium at Drake University will convene experienced professionals, academics and other experts to speak on various topics related to China and U.S.-China relations, with the aim to provide a platform for multiple viewpoints and opportunities for candid discussion.

This event is free and open to the public. Sessions will be held during International Education Week on November 17, 2022. Key session topics will include education, foreign affairs, and the legacy of the Iowa-China connection. View the program >>

Featuring award-winning journalist and author John Pomfret, whose 2016 book The Beautiful Country and the Middle Kingdom: America and China, 1776 to the Present was awarded the 2017 Arthur Ross Award by the Council on Foreign Relations.
