On April 21st, 2024, USHCA representatives attended the Celebration for the 45th Anniversary of St. Louis-Nanjing Sister City Relationship to welcome a visiting delegation from Nanjing. This event was jointly organized by the Nanjing Foreign Affairs Office and St. Louis-Nanjing Sister City Committee, and hosted by the World Trade Center-St. Louis at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
Established in 1979, the sister city relationship between St. Louis and Nanjing was the first to exist between the United States and China. Mayor Tishaura Jones of St. Louis spoke at the event, greeting delegation leader Ms. Han Liming in recognition of the long history between between the two cities.Â
